background: Dani found Coke in an animal shelter, fell in love with her sweet, loving personality and adopted her. Coke got her name because Dani thought she looked like a white cat with Coca-Cola spilled on her coat, and it's also likely she got the name because Coca-Cola Dani's favorite beverage. Coincidentally, because Dani likes to drink Coke so much, there would often be cups and cans and bottles laying around her apartment that she may or may not have finished, and one day Dani caught Coke Kitty lapping up some! Coke immeditately got sick and Dani had to take her to the vet. Coke got better in time, and despite the scare, Dani thinks it's cute that after naming her Coke because of her appearance Coke also has her name because of that scary, but later funny incident!
Why?
Where did all of this Dani and Coke stuff come from? The story actually begins with me and my boyfriend. His alchoholic drink of preference is Jack Daniel's and my favorite drink, period, is Coca-Cola. The thought crossed my head one day: "Jack & Coke"! It was like an epiphany! As a couple we could easily be like our corresponding drinks; I'm sweet and bubbly, and he's a little sour (but he's still sweet too) and has a distinctive bite to him, and somehow we just seem to mesh very well together just like Jack and Coke. I thought it was such a good idea that I wanted to do something with it and this is where the idea of Coke Kitty and Jack Cat came about. I love cats, so a cat was a natural choice to be a moscot of mine. I drew about twenty little comic strips featuring my little feline characters and the antics that they get into that often mirrored the ones my boyfriend and I got into as well. And thus, Coke Kitty was born!
